Shortly after our daughter was born, our maternity assistant introduced us to the editor-in-chief of the Dutch professional journal “kraamzorg” (English: “maternity care”).

Maternity assistants (in training), lactation consultants, district nurses, and child health centres are readers of this journal.

We were interviewed eagerly, and in September 2008 the journal was published with our personal experience story. Our maternity assistant, our midwife, and a pain specialist gave their point of view in the same article.
